How did you get started riding / racing?
Steve Bartlett from Cycle Enterprises
had us go watch a race at the old Victor track and that hooked us in.
How long have you been or were an expert?
Went expert in 1983 and then pro in 1985.
All-time favorite bike?
1988 Honda CR250R.
What was your first motorcycle?
HD 90, and I am not sure what year it
was.
What is your favorite music?
Country.
What is your favorite food?
Steak.
How do you (or did you) train for
motocross?
I pretty much
just rode for training.
What motivates you?
Back in the day the desire to win. Now it’s
mostly for fun.
Occupation?
Co-owner of DP Tool & Machine, Inc
which is a manufacturing facility.
Other interests?
Hunting, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling.
Greatest accomplishment?
In MX, 2nd place at Loretta’s in 1982.
Any regrets?
No
– I’ve had a good life.

Bob Hannah, Jeremy McGrath, and Ricky
(the GOAT)
What's the best part about racing
motocross?
I liked the competition and the people, and I
have made a lot of friends over the years.
What would you change about our
sport/district?
It’s nice to
see one organization again and if 2 strokes ever came back again it would lower
the cost of this sport.
Who are (were) your sponsors?
Mostly DP Tool, and I have had others
along the way.

would you like to thank?
My parents who supported me through the early
years of racing and my immediate family when my boys got started.
